The Carat’s flat panel design is suitable for a variety of interiors - from houses and apartments to public sector buildings such as offices, schools or libraries. The Carat has a strong geometric form which complements efficient and uncluttered environments, and provides an impressive heat output.

Located next to the city’s historic Cathedral and officially opened by The Bishop of Leicester, St Martins House is a former grammar school building which has been converted into a multi-use events and services venue. The Pound7m centre, which has been nominated for a Leicester Civic Award, is part of the Cathedral Square project to restore a neglected part of the city's heritage. St Martins House offers banquet and conference facilities and services for vulnerable people in the city. The designers and contract managers for the project were Pick Everard and the main contractors were Hallam Contracts. The M&E contractors were Mellor Bromley.

Built in 1863 by Arthur Backhouse – a member of a renowned northern Quaker family whose influence ranged from botany to banking – Rockliffe Hall’s design was commissioned from Alfred Waterhouse who was the architect of the Natural History Museum.

As part of the Pound50 million build, the original structure of the hall has been expanded with the addition of new buildings and now comprises 61 guest bedrooms, two restaurants, health and beauty spa and meeting rooms. The unique hexagonal building is created with a series of huge brick vaults. Alongside the walls of the courtyard is a veranda which features some of the earliest reinforced concrete to be used in the UK. The iron columns which support the veranda are an early form of “rainwater harvesting” as they are downpipes which carry rainwater from the gutters to a large underground tank – this water was collected in case of a siege.

The Aeroguard range is available in over 575 permutations with outputs ranging from 453 to 7,885 Watts.  All Aeroguard models have radiused corners and leading edges as standard.  Freestanding versions are also available on most models.  Aeroguard comes in a wide choice of lengths from 663 to 2,915mm.  There is a choice of the standard 3H2 & 5H2 copper/aluminium emitters or where a smaller footprint is required, the 3H4 & 5H4 emitters are available. 

All Aeroguard emitters are pressure tested to 7 bar and have a maximum working pressure of 5 bar and an 1/8" BSP air vent is incorporated into the emitter connection.

Aeroguard casings are supplied in a durable antibacterial polyester powder coated finish (RAL9010 Warm White semi-gloss) and assembled for easy on site installation as standard. The end casings and front panel are manufactured using 1.2mm zinc coated steel. The front panel is made up of a number of individual sections spot welded together on their return edges to create a very robust panel.

Luton Hoo, now one of the flagship destinations for the Elite Hotels Group, was the family seat of the Marquis of Bute, and was originally designed and built by the celebrated neo-classical architect Robert Adam.  The hotel complex sits in over 1,000 acres of lakes and parkland, which were created by one of the country’s most famous landscape gardeners – Capability Brown.

The 144-bedroom hotel complex, with the Grade 1 listed manor house at its centre, was painstakingly restored by Cardy Builders & Contractors for the Elite Hotels Group.  The historic restoration was completed by skilled workers and craftsmen to bring it back to its glory days.  As Cardy Construction’s managing director Stuart Gremo said: “This mansion, literally crumbling after years of neglect, has been transformed. We are delighted to recognise how skilled and capable our workforce are when they work together on a project of this magnitude.”

The majority of radiators installed are Sanaplan, a traditional column model made from high quality steel, perfect for period refurbishments and capable of high heat outputs. In total, forty were installed throughout the hotel, including the bar, restaurant and bedrooms. 

Ten Goste radiators, complete with optional towel rails, were selected for guest bathrooms, providing a contemporary edge to the traditional interior. Similar in aesthetics to the period radiators of the time, the New Ionic is available as a floor standing model with integral feet but can also be purchased as a wall mounted version for ease of siting.

The new premises are testament to the phenomenal success of the business, which now has a turnover in excess of Pound16 million – a staggering 140% increase in the past ten years.

The Matrix Convector is the ideal heating system for domestic and small commercial environments with large areas of glazing such as offices, hotel rooms, shops and conservatories.  Available in four models, with its low profile, the radiator can be discreetly placed without detracting from the building’s design or taking up valuable wall space.  Heights for the Convector range from 70 – 280mm with lengths up to 6000mm. 

The Matrix Horizontal is a discreet flat-fronted radiator suitable for both domestic and commercial environments.  It is available in four models with depths of 32 - 133mm, lengths of 500 to 6000mm and 12 standard heights.
